A Podcast of Experimental Psychology
Episode 1 – First Impressions
Welcome to episode 1 of Psychobabble!
Wherein Rohan, Jess, Morgan and Nerisa discuss the art of first impressions. The discussion meanders from why snoring is bad when first meeting someone (no, really), why an attractive voice might be more important than an attractive face, how to change someone’s first impression, why blue eyed men like blue eyed girls, discerning status on first contact, and how (and why) we’re actually pretty good at knowing someone’s personality with just a quick glance.

Hey Guys,
Awesome podcast. I don’t do psychology, but you managed to keep my interest up the whole time, and kept it at a level I could mostly understand.
The only things I would recommend are get a better set of microphones, and the babble after the “thanks for listening” went on for a bit long.
Good work, Keep it up!

Howdy kids!
Sorry to have mislead you with my nice button up shirt. It’s hardly an accurate portrayal of me. My favourite shirt happens to be a faded black t-shirt that reads “Last clean shirt”.
Keep it coming!

Just listened to your first podcast and was very impressed with your content. The audio quality was a bit blah but overall, great debt.

Hey thanks Cookie!
We’re still finding our feet with production, but I promise we’ll get some better mics and individual channel recording soon…
